Didn't Mao do this and then murder all the people who complained?

FYI, this appears to be about the comment line that was opened about the National Parks Service back when they were pulling down signs about things like slavery. Old news from, what? A lifetime ago now?

I've been using this analogy for a while.

Keeping up with Trump scandals is like trying to watch Avengers Endgame while listening to Lord Of The Rings and reading Game of Thrones all at the same time.

While riding a roller coaster in a thunderstorm

Native New Yorker.

Trump is hated by Blacks here because of the Central Park Five. He's hated by the Manhattan elites because he promised to preserve a famous building and then demolished it. He's hated by motorists because he had a highway exit closed. He's hated by sports fans because he ruined the USFL.

He’s hated by motorists because he had a highway exit closed.

Wait, I've known about his assholery since the 80s, but what is this about a highway exit?

It's so weird how someone that came off like a self-entitled little bitch his entire life was selected, probably for that very reason, to host a stupid game show. Then that game show gives the false impression that he's a well-respected and successful businessman when he's been the kind of person normal people tend to hate for decades prior...and now here we are.

The West Side Highway runs past a complex he put up.

He decided that traffic getting off the road was making too much noise.

Delayed access for emergency crews, as well as locals.

Well I guess in a tangential way, it relates to Bannon's "firehose of shit."

You got that right! 👍

I really hope somebody [outside the government] made records of all those signs and their contents so that they can be put back when the fascists are overthrown.

Only 35,000? Those are rookie numbers.

[-] blattrules@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago

Yeah, I have 35,000 complaints about him by myself.

[-] frunch@lemmy.world 9 points 8 hours ago

That was in the first 5 minutes

[-] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

That long-retired WaPo database had documented over 40,000 lies trump told publicly when they shut it down. Probably would've had 120,000 more to add to that if it were still a thing.

Suddenly 35,000 random people disappeared
