Then how’s he not seeing all the dogs getting scritches and hugs, dogs running around with kids having a great time, dogs snuggled up and sleeping next to their humans, dogs going on walks and runs with their humans, dogs going fishing and camping, dogs leaving a rescue with their forever companions?

Right. If there's one thing we do well overall as a species (generally, not universally) - it's treating our Good Bois and Good Girls well and appreciating them.

As they should be treated because they deserve it.
