Bruce Wayne totally has powers. The capacity and focus with which to get several master's degrees worth of education and mastery of several martial arts.
He also has the unspoken ability to cause grievous injury without risking a morbid outcome.
Also he's Batman prepared, and has squid repellent in case they release the Kraken and not just a shark.
I, too, am a nerdy loner.
