She was in favor of immigrant rights before it was cool, that's the opposite of what she's accused of. The entire post is a wild restatement of her pro-immigrant, anti-law stance.
There may be an additional wrinkle: A republican in the UK is not an American Republican. That is, she is probably advancing an anti-monarchist stance instead of a pro-GOP one. In the UK, a republican is a staunchly anti-establishment, fringe left figure.

To be fair she sounded crazy when she first got popular 20 years ago too.
I don't want to let her off the hook for her repugnant views, but I do think we have a real issue with globally rising mental illness, and it seems like there is pipeline for people with certain types of mental illness finding Trump very appealing.
He really should have known better if he knew her views from the start.
He had money involved, only renegged after she went ape shit.
