A few weeks ago my boyfriend was chased across the parking lot of his apartment complex by a goose. He took refuge on a bench by the pond.

At which point the gator living in that pond started coming through the water in his direction. He stood up, ripples stop, gator stops. Sits back down, gator starts coming again. Stands up, it stops. Sits down, gator is a-comin'. He left at that point.

I am convinced the gator and the goose were in cahoots, and the goose was promised safety in exchange for a sacrifice

I was attacked by a goose once, I screamed and punched it, fortunately its neck was strong… the golf course did require me to pay half of its veterinary bill.

Was wondering, if female Canada geese look different from males, and apparently they're just slightly smaller, but Wikipedia has some excellent info nonetheless:

The honk refers to the call of the male Canada goose, whilst the hrink call refers to the female goose. The calls are similar but the hrink is shorter and higher pitched than the honk of males.

Yeah, i dunno. We have a mating pair that hatch goslings in the creek behind our house (like 15 yards away) every spring. The geese dont get aggressive with us, but we don't bother them. I tend to give them some distance too if im out in the yard. We also dont try to chase them off. Maybe they "know" us and realize we're not a threat?

I never understood some adults being afraid of them. I wouldn't voluntarily interact with one. I feel like it's best to just respect their space. I'm not going to run from one either. We're about ten times their size, and they're very poorly armed. They're also a lot less aggressive when one makes it clear that they're unafraid of geese, if not totally unbothered.

And you can just grab them by the neck and yeet them

they are also a lot less aggressive when you don’t get close to their chicks

If you have a problem with the majestic Canadian Goose, then you have a problem with me. And I suggest you let that one marinate. 🤪

Sounds like your goose is cooked.

They are chilling in every park here and there isn't a problem at all.
