I've never simped for dictators, you just mistake "foreign nation with geopolitical interests opposite from the US" with dictators.

They're eliminating an entire echelon of bureaucrats quickly and giving the budgets and decision-making power directly to local councils to administer directly. Surely since you're a democracy lover you're aware of this and you support it?
