Nice! I grew up with a clone of this classic model, but I have the AV Famicom now:

Been playing a lot of Parodius Da! recently. The performance is not the best, but it's still really fun to play. I love the humor in the game and it's generally a good shoot em up.

Same here with the AVFC! Found one for a good price at a Book-Off! in the Tokyo suburbs on a trip a few years ago. Complete with the box and both controllers for like $50: 1000055416

I'm currently working my way through a translated Mother ROM, and am finally getting close to being able to finish Castlevania 1 (without save states). I'm using a NES controller for the extra long cord since the Famicom is on a bookshelf rather than the customary floor

Cool! I will eventually get a flash cart since I'd like to play translations too. But in the meantime, I have a ton of games I've been getting and want to get through. I got mostly shoot em ups, so I need to work on diversifying my collection ๐Ÿ˜… I'd love to get Castlevania and Kid Dracula too!

Kirby's Adventure is a blast. On the easy side but the soundtrack and colorful graphics are enough to hold my interest. Also lots of little secrets to uncover by bringing specific powers to certain areas
