Can never be sure these days, lol

[-] can@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 months ago

They're now calling themselves the heart of the internet?

[-] Test_Tickles@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

The dark corrupted Nazi heart.

If I ordered a contractor for a job and they showed up with that piece of shit in my driveway, I'd demand my money back even if I never paid them anything yet.

Everybody, good news!

Get in Marty we're going to my high school reunion but first I gotta fix a disconnect

[-] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

...since everything is in series and there's a short somewhere!

If this camper’s a-clankin’

Don’t knock — I’m wankin’

[-] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

"If this camper's a-clankin' it's probably because I drove through some water and these things rust like a bastard"

[-] Prior_Industry@lemmy.world 18 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

It looks apocalyptic, but wouldn't last long in an apocalypse.

[-] kbobabob@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 months ago

The front isn't even attached and is just floating. I'm waiting for some wind to rip that thing off.

In later follow-up she said her franken-truckla suffered electrical problems, rain leakage, and has been relegated to someone's backyard, rotting away under a tarp.

[-] noughtnaut@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Sure, I mean it was a bit of a hack job. Doesn't detract from the fact that she did something quite unique, nor does it imply that this one posted by OP is any more rain proof...

[-] JennaR8r@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 months ago

I wonder if she ever took the plunge and bought a real cyber truck when they came out.

[-] noughtnaut@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

She's a sane person and as such she did not.

Better than my name for it: The Tarditron 3000

[-] FudgyMcTubbs@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Better than mine... Der MuskWagen.

Looks like something the old Top Gear presenters would build

I'm of an age where much fun was had in the back of the Ford version

Did you drive around with your friends catching ghosts?

[-] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 months ago

"This guy...this guy fucks..amirite?"

[-] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 15 points 2 months ago

Can't wait to see a camper topper on one.

[-] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 15 points 2 months ago

That's an improvement.

[-] BigTrout75@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

Props for keeping the aesthetics

[-] Endymion_Mallorn@kbin.melroy.org 9 points 2 months ago

Does it make it an actual truck now, instead of a flaming deathtrap?

[-] PenguinMage@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

A little of both I'd say... more of a truck, still a highly flammable death trap.

[-] Poppa_Mo@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

Smoker compartment instead of direct to flame.

[-] itsathursday@lemmy.world 8 points 2 months ago

Definitely looks like the kind of handy work someone with that truck would do in these trying times. At least you know what you are getting if they pull up and try give you a quote.

[-] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I know what I've got!

[-] antlion@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 2 months ago

Looks great actually. Simpler to build than a curved body. Nice flat lumber rack on top so you can build more for your friends, because let’s face it at this point your only friends are from the local Cybertruck club. A+

Well is it a truck or is it not?

There are two types of people that buy Teslas:

  1. People that buy them as Nazi jewelry

  2. People that buy them as Nazi technology

[-] rumba@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 months ago

ngl, if it was cheap enough and I had a garage, I'd buy old ones to build a powerwall.

I don't like tesla or the people that bought them after mush was established, but i'd be more than happy to pay them 10% of the money they paid for 100% of the hardware and use it against the corporations.

[-] sunbytes@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I'm looking forward to the top looking less tarnished than the bottom in a few years.

[-] Batman@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

when real engineering meets the cybertruck

[-] nightwatch_admin@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Back looks like a face desperately crying for help

[-] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Doing truck things! Is that part "bulletproof" too? Lol

[-] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

LOL! Holy shit. Where is the America First sticker?

[-] kreskin@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Much better. And you'll get more respect driving it. Still a deathtrap though.

[-] RAFAELRAMIREZ@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Cybertruck really said I can be anything… including a work van 😅

[-] NoOutlinesBand@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

I'm not touring in that
