What’s Italian about this?
The way that it is.
When I take a bite I say mama mia in the Mario voice.

It's not a proper Italian sub for to the obvious lack of Capicola.
Not exactly how I would lay my sandwiches. I prefer more of an even spread. So you're not getting whole bites that are just lettuce. Still looks pretty nice though.
Yeah it's supposed to go vegetables -> meat -> cheese -> spreads/oil/vinegar -> bread.
Smart to post this while Italy is asleep.
Dammit. Now I am hungry.
We would call that a "hoagie," with some nice-looking Italian bread and all.

For some reason I know exactly what these taste like, and am getting a vivid memory of the taste right now. Never been to the US nor to Italy.
