I don't have a TD bank account

Yes, I know this was a scam call. They automate them now so they don't have to talk to you unless you take the bait

I get tons of automated spam calls, I intentionally take the bait and try to waste their time. Lately, they have been targeting Chinese speakers, so it's harder for me to waste their time.

Lol yet another nail in the coffin of ~~american~~ down under exceptionalism. We aren't even worth scamming anymore.

In my case, its Australia, and I think it's that Chinese expats in Aus are somewhat isolated and vulnerable to scams.

Lol fixed it. And of course the truth is far more depressing than whatever whimsy I could drum up.

I love these new scams, I'll wait until they connect me to a human and then ask them what my name is. Sometimes they get confused and I have to explain that, if they called me about an issue on "my" account, then they should know "my" name, right? Never fails to get a chuckle before they hang up. XD

I love this, stealing it

I get the ones at my work either claiming to be from Microsoft or being some random due with an Indian accent insisting he's from "my" IT department. Which is a neat trick, because I am the IT department around here in its entirety.

I miss those calls.

"Well what computer are you seeing the issue on?"

"Your desktop."

"I'm not sure how, my desktop is a Mac.

"Oh, it's actually your laptop."

"Well there's the problem, I have Linux on my laptop."

I love these scams, I just wait 'til they connect a human to the line and ask them what "my" name is. XD

They were casting a wide net with you then! I rarely get any automated scam calls these days as my Scam Shield blocks so many of them.

I like to turn scam calls into phone sex. I've never had real phone sex so I'm not all that smooth or invested. I just try to see how many embarrassing things I can get them to say over the phone. They are not supposed to hang up so with a captive audience it gets filthier and filthier until they do hang up.
