In another round of late-night social media posts, Donald Trump attacked the Supreme Court for not overturning his loss in the 2020 presidential election — and tried to pressure the court to rule his way in future election cases.

Flurries of angry social media posts are not unusual for Trump, but this one was particularly alarming for its scope and the criticism it directed against the nation’s highest court, where six out of nine justices are conservatives and three are Trump appointees.

Toys thrown from pram again. Whaaaa Whaaaa Whaaaa. (Please bail me out, it's all I know, so not my fault....)

If there were any justice, Donny, you'd get impeached in November and put up against a wall with your entire family on Christmas Day.

[-] tomiant@piefed.social 7 points 13 hours ago

Someone said it would be nice to be able to filter news for things Trump actually did than what he's said.

[-] Soggy@lemmy.world 3 points 12 hours ago

Unfortunately his words have an impact.

Honestly his being alive might be a net positive at this point. Republicans have now seen how far they can push the base. Once they get a slightly more competent psychopath in place we'll be five shades more fucked than we are already

Oh it's to help me! No further questions then.

[-] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 8 points 18 hours ago

I wondered that, too!

He is a putrid, lice-ridden tuft of anal pubic hair that’s been transplanted atop a grimy, tattered Egyptian mummy, that’s oft mistaken for a dried-up 6 foot tall, spray-tan colored toilet brush.

[-] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

hey what did a pthirus ever do to you

[-] human@slrpnk.net 7 points 15 hours ago

Is that Dickinson?

[-] Paranoidfactoid@lemmy.world 1 points 16 hours ago

Yeah, but doesn't that lice-ridden toupet look good!?

[-] tomiant@piefed.social 2 points 13 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago)

Toupee would be admitting you're bald, that's a monstruous combover. Why you think he wears that stupid baseball cap all the time.

I hate how much he reminds me of my late dad. Except my dad was well read and smart. Ah shit that's not fair. My dad was generally well intentioned. But the narcissistic bullying and emotional volatility and the blaming and the gaslighting tho...

[-] lemmyng@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

Was your late dad my late dad?

[-] joekar1990@lemmy.world 23 points 22 hours ago

Can't wait for the Jake Tapper book to come out later on all this.

[-] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 6 points 22 hours ago

I really hope Jake Tapper isn't related to Trump. He's had enough tragedies in his life.

[-] lemmyng@lemmy.world 1 points 10 hours ago

Considering the gobsmacking heel-turn Fake Plapper has done, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest to learn he's related to Trump.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 37 points 20 hours ago

If they overturned the 2020 election would that make his current term illegal?

[-] mcv@lemmy.zip 33 points 17 hours ago

I think January 6 makes his current term illegal.

[-] Rakonat@lemmy.world 9 points 14 hours ago

His knowing collusion with Russian agents makes his first term illegal.

[-] tomiant@piefed.social 7 points 13 hours ago

His 34 felonies makes it illegal.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 9 points 17 hours ago

You'd think but Americans took a poll two years ago and they decided it didn't really matter much to them.

[-] BillCheddar@lemmy.world 7 points 15 hours ago

There is literally no mechanism by which that happens.

Practically speaking, the next President has to go through and undo all of this asshole's changes on paper, by signing new EOs and (in some cases) asking Congress for a law to sign. Most of it is administrative, so easy to undo without Congress.

We can't do anything about anyone he pardoned. They stay pardoned. Can't get around that, Constitutionally.

[-] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 2 points 5 hours ago

The fun thing about his pardonees is their general tendency to commit more crimes.

[-] ShellMonkey@piefed.socdojo.com 39 points 21 hours ago

There has to be some point where the congress critters decide this guy is just too unhinged to be in power, right?

[-] ryokimball@infosec.pub 74 points 21 hours ago

The fact that this line appears not to be crossed already is the single most damaging aspect for the US

[-] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.ca 10 points 18 hours ago

Exactly. Can you imagine getting in the Obama tan suit days and having an administration try 1/100th of the crap this one is doing? It's amazing how trump has normalized high treason and rampant corruption.

[-] errer@lemmy.world 6 points 16 hours ago

The line was absolutely crossed a few months into his first term.

Traitors gonna treason.

[-] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 3 points 20 hours ago

Literally no, he could start dragging congress people out and shooting them dead in public and the GOP would cover him for it. Say it's too soon to discuss between rounds. Especially if he leaves the GOP for last, at which point the dead are declared RINOs and ignored.

[-] YurkshireLad@lemmy.ca 3 points 21 hours ago

Surely that point has long passed?

[-] kmartburrito@lemmy.world 20 points 21 hours ago

It's always projection with this tiny dick chucklefuck pedo. He's trying to sow some chaos so he can call on them to come in clutch when he pulls fuckery during the midterms and take a "you owe me one" approach.

A child trapped inside an adult's body.

No wonder conservatives identify with him.

[-] AFKBRBChocolate@lemmy.ca 6 points 18 hours ago

Pretty sure it was Trump's body that was inside the child.

[-] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 7 points 21 hours ago

Major aside, but every time I Wikipedia information about the justices, I’m struck by how young some of them look, despite being in their 70s. Wikipedia just uses 20+ year old photos, which I also rediscover every time.
