for repacks it's mixed. some work fine, others not so much. Generally you want to try and install them via Lutris or Heroic Game Launcher. Like the newest Star Trek Voyager game I couldn't get installed at all. I'm on Arch Linux and tried it via Lutris. The fitgirl repack just doesn't complete the install for whatever reason. I think I just need to fiddle around with different proton versions but I got tired of dealing with it.

https://hydralauncher.gg/ has a native Linux client. I never tried it and haven't pirated a game in a decade so I cannot share any experience. But my guess would be that if the game runs on Proton or Wine, the cracked version should to.

I use Heroic Games Launcher, you can just point it to the executable and it manages the Wine version, prefix, config, etc...

Load it in Lutris and try. Most games these days work in Linux, thanks to Proton. With the exception of games with Anticheat. But since your version is pirated, any Anticheat might be removed.

Plenty of people say that they work fine using wine and lutris. I however have spent 10s of hours trying to get them to work. I had one game work successfully one time and I thought i had cracked it but upon rebooting the system and returning to play more it just constantly crashed again.

I'm sure the issue lies with me somewhere and I havent tried it for a while but just be prepared for a fucking frustrating time if it doesnt just work like so many people claim it does for them.

I have the idea that it may have been my install of pop os that was causing me issues as I could never get arc raiders to load via steam and that is a game that most people said ran absolutely fine I just got sick of spending hours fucking about with things rather than playing games so ended up putting win 10 back on my machine with intention to return and try a different distro but just haven't got around to it yet.

I've got Sims4 from fitgirl and anadius up and running for a friend. I can't speak for other titles, but for this is was as simple as starting it with lutris. Modding was a bit harder, but only because the prefix was more difficult to locate, once everything was in the right place it worked no issue.

Edit: i would also recommend to install asdf and with that then protonge.

I've had mixed luck, some just don't work on Linux regardless, legit or cracked, but fitgirl repacks generally work well in my experience.

I've been unpacking/installing them by adding the setup exe to steam as an external game, enabling proton GE and running the installer. The annoying part is then grabbing the installed files from the steam directory and then adding the gamr exe to steam as a separate thing I can actually launch. I tried normal wine. Normal wine did not work (on my distro at least, it's complicated :/).
