It just blows my mind that things got to the point where we have to seek a privacy focused not-internet-connected keyboard when that should have been the default all along.
HeliBoard is a privacy-conscious and customizable open-source keyboard, based on AOSP / OpenBoard. Does not use internet permission, and thus is 100% offline.
I've been using this keyboard for a couple years now and I really like that it's just a keyboard. No fluff, no bloat, no internet required. Just a good keyboard.

Probably the one and only FOSS multilingual keyboard app out there. It is just great.
@Evil_Shrubbery Haven't gotten the update yet, but based on the release notes it appears 3.7 introduces an emoji search box, which was much-needed! Really happy to see that.
