Tired. Even with the help of a snow blower, I was absolutely wrecked at the end of the snow shoveling, and I'm pretty sure most of my work has already been snowed over 🙃

absolutely not going outside. at all. we have a neat amount of snow accumulation: not so much that the plows couldn't clear it, but enough that it's just kind of fun to look at.

I shoveled for hours yesterday. I rushed the end because I couldn't feel my fingers anymore, but I managed to get it all done without losing any digits.

Took a dose of Advil and Tylenol (autism be damned) yesterday so I could move around, but I was still really sore.

I just woke up. I feel ok so far, but I haven't tried getting out of bed yet.

Edit: There was a couple inches of snow on top of where I shoveled before I even went to bed.

That's excellent work well done

All good here. We had ice and being in a small town, we never see snow plows (not that you can do much for ice anyway). No power outages. We weren't too worried about losing power because we have a gas grill.

I have learned that between my husband and I, I'll be the one paying attention to our "disaster preparedness" supplies, which are basically nonexistent at this point. Going to start accumulating camping gear.

Don't want to jinx it, but so far so good. No power outages at my place yet.

Walking out, the ice layer under the snow feels pretty slick and strong, so hopefully I don't have to drive for a while. Everyone was expecting it tho, so lots of salt was on the roads and probably scrapers have been/will be by to get main roads decent.

All good here, spent the weekend chilling at home, watching tv and staying warm. I have someone that is coming to clear the snow sometime later today.

What about you?

We were originally projected to get a good bit of snow. Started snowing for a couple hours then it got a bit warmer and turned to rain. Rained all day yesterday so everything is just wet and gross

As far as photos go, I've been having a ball with it.

These were snapped with an EOS Rebel T3i with either a Vivitar Series 1 19-35mm f3.4-4.5 FD-mount zoom lens or Canon FD 35-70mm f4 zoom lens mounted to it and a Lumix GF2 with a generic 35mm f1.6 manual native-mount prime lens mounted to it and used varying film sims.

Oh, and I'm genuinely impressed by that cheap prime lens now that I actually had a chance to try it out beyond using it for digitizing art.

Here's another shot of some tree shadows because I thought they looked cool, this time using my Canon FD 35-70mm f4 zoom lens with the Lumix.

Got about 10-12" of accumulation based on the yard/driveway. It's funny because we weren't supposed to get as much snow as a lot of other areas. I haven't noticed any ice, just dry, fluffy snow.

Thankfully power didn't go out, and roads were getting cleared yesterday. I also shoveled the driveway yesterday for about 3hr total so I could get out in case of an emergency. Working from home today as a precaution.

We got about a foot of snow, but no ice, fortunately. The roads are just about clear by now.

My university ended up closing on Monday and Tuesday

Kept the snow down by clearing it ever few hours yesterday. Got up real real early and cleared again before leaving for work. Enjoying a nice hot lunch now.
