I'm embarrassed pretty much every day.

I'm with you, and I'll add "gravely concerned".

Me too, and I’ll add “depressed” to the list

I'll add a fair amount of righteous anger as well, and I'm not even American.

They estimate 6M people travelling to watch the games? 😂 Sure. 6M people will take the chance of getting rerouted to El Salvador or shipped to a detention facility. Even if they were all white, they'd all have to be conservative and not say a single bad thing about Trump otherwise they could be put on a plane back to where they came from.

Transportation, I contend, is the least of visitors problems.

Sports fans will still show up. No group is predictably unmotivated by anything principled as avid sports fans.

there are some football (soccer 😋) clubs notorious for having communist or even anarchist fan bases (and there are many others with fascist bases).

i may hate football but one has to recognise historical connections of some clubs

Hopefully Gillette won’t be too bad - Boston has a decent amount of transit and they schedule trains to Gillette around events.

Of course it’s neither modern nor in good repair but should more or less work
