Actually, it's stupider, the original meth subreddit made rules against posting images of drug use because reddit admins were breathing down their necks, some of the userbase deemed that censorship to be communist because something something 1984. Except, obviously, it was done because advertisers don't want to advertise next to drug use. So it's literally classic Americans calling the negative consequences of capitalism communism

Isn't that what the "quarantined subreddit" feature was added for? Advertisers that don't want their ad next to a picture of meth use most likely don't want their ads in a methamphetamine subreddit in general
No, not "too left wing", just not far right enough for them. The US left wing is the equivalent to right of center in actual developed countries, to put that in to perspective. In other words, the crazy people weren't crazy enough for the ultra crazies.
Jokes aside, you'll find several instances of "normal community" having a "right wing normal community" spin off, it happened in online chat channels, then in forums, now Reddit.
The right's ideology is fundamentally unfit for harmonic co-existing with everybody else, so it's no surprise they always need to isolate themselves in a bunker.
It turns out, when you kick people out of a community for being toxic, racist, or otherwise counterproductive to maintaining a community... they go form a right wing spinoff of that community. I feel like it says a lot that when you kick people out for traits that aren't "being right wing", they form communities around that shared identity.
Happens with leftists and really all kinds of extremists as well.

I have a pet theory that amphetamines are inherently fascist. I'd be surprised if the "normal" meth sub is commie, but knowing what chuds consider communist, it's not surprising that they'd make an even more hard-line sub.

I mean, I had (prescribed) adderall for a few months that had me borderline tweaky at my given dosage, but I still remained decidedly not right wing/fascist.

I never thought about it but I had a friend many years back that went on a several months long crystal meth and heroin bender, fell into deep psychosis, was hospitalized, and got clean after a while. He never went back to "normal" and remained much, much more conservative, right wing, and libertarian than he was before he went on the bender. Before that he was basically a militant anarchist.
Fetterman became conservative after his stroke, too.
I think it may be possible to damage the brain in a way that makes empathy harder.
I'm on a forum for weed users and I'm surprised by how many right wingers are on it. Maybe I'm naive, but I would have thought most right-wingers are against drugs. I guess I tend to forget right-wingers are hypocrites.
