That is exactly what pride is for! Throw stones and rally!

Exactly. The saying isn't "We're here! We're queer! Thanks for having us!"

Conservatives: "We're changing the law so now its illegal to be LGBTQ"

Liberals: "Oh well, nothing we can do. This is what the voters wanted."

Antifa Far-Left Communist Tankies: "We're going to get all our friends together and march anyway"

Conservatives: "Call SWAT and have all these people beaten, arrested, tortured, and deported."

Antifa Far-Left Communist Tankies: "We will fight back!"

Liberals, Looking A Bit Scratched: "Sorry, I gotta side with the Conservatives on this one. You're clearly breaking the law."

Appeasement has always worked every time throughout history

That’s why liberals love it

Just for the record: "Texas city" = Arlington, TX. It's located about 1/2 way between Dallas and Fort Worth. Population 394,266 in 2020. Part of the D-FW Complex, "Throughout Dallas–Fort Worth, there is a large lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. Since 2005, DFW has constituted one of the largest LGBT communities in Texas.[1][2][3][4]" First Gay Pride Parade in 1980. So they are attempting to reverse / erase 45 years of history. Deets from wikipedia.org.

Former, and reformed resident of Dallas; Dallas pride is in September because June is too hot. Just a fun fact. When I lived there in 2008-2011 the police were still raiding gay bars and beating up gay men.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
