The secret airport deportation program denies victims any semblance of due process.

The Transportation Security Administration is forwarding passenger lists to Immigration and Customs Enforcement in order to detain and deport travelers while denying them the chance to challenge the process, according to documents obtained by the New York Times.

A Times report Friday revealed that information furnished by TSA provided the basis of ICE’s high-profile detention of university student Any Lucía López Belloza, who was deported following her arrest at Boston’s Logan airport en route to visit her family for Thanksgiving.

On a near-daily basis since March, the agency has been sending files to ICE that include photographs of the person targeted for deportation, and flight information that ICE employs to detain people before they board.

Yeah, they're all under DHS. Why wouldn't you expect them to share information? I know it's not the same exact thing, but 9/11 was largely believed to happen because different agencies didn't share information well enough. All the pieces to know something was going to happen was there. That's how the PATRIOT ACT started, as a way to allow agencies to share information. Then they added a bunch of bullshit into it. Honestly, I want the police to be better. I want them to have good information to act on. I want precision and effectiveness. I do not want military washouts picking random people off the streets because of their skin color.

Edit: For clarity I don't mean that agencies lacking the ability to share information caused the attack. It is why they failed to prevent the attack.

I thought 9/11 was largely believed to happen because the USA is an imperialist warmongering shit causing mass suffering around the world and this was a response to that? Albeit, a terrible response, creating mass suffering to tackle mass suffering, but a response nonetheless.

Agencies either being incapable or incompetent to share information is perhaps how it happened, but not why it happened.

Fair, the I could have worded that better. It wasn't why it happened, but why it wasn't prevented.

And I'm sure this won't be used, later, when they are trying to prevent people from fleeing this country.

Don’t the airlines already handover manifests to CBP anyway?
