Get this man on the ballot.

[-] RangerAndTheCat@lemmy.world 91 points 2 years ago

I can’t agree more with the new representatives and especially Fetterman actually calling the GOP on their bullshit antics and nonsense rhetoric, this is exactly what is needed to drum up support for the democrats and paints them as on the offense instead of constantly being on the defense making them look like they’re unwilling/unable to hold their own when it comes to treating GOP like the petulant child they have been/and are since Trump was in office this kind of behavior has exploded exponentially. And destroyed what little credibility they had left.

[-] RadButNotAChad@lemmy.world 62 points 2 years ago

Fetterman is what I thought we were finally getting when Pelosi ripped Trump's State of The Union speech up behind his back.

[-] droopy4096@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 years ago

democrats are very efficient in shooting themselves in a foot. He's not getting on the ballot as he doesn't represent established clique. None of the progressives got anywhere because of Democrats top echelon. US needs an nee party with all progressive Democrats moving there. Maybe then there's some chance for a country.

I wish the dems had split when the tea party split from Republicans. We could have ended up with party reform in the Democrat party, just as the Republicans reformed when the tea party loons were brought back in.

Imagine your impeachment inquiry getting upstaged by a guy in a hoodie with a case of bud light

[-] jscummy@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 years ago

If the secret weapon against the GOP is guys in hoodies with a case of Bud Light, I'll scour every 7-Eleven and college campus in the country

[-] elbarto777@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago

Hell yeah, brother!

[-] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 68 points 2 years ago

Everything he does is terrific. It's like his stroke only made him more powerful.

[-] Chemical@lemmy.world 52 points 2 years ago

This is fantastic, need more like him

[-] JackDark@lemmy.world 45 points 2 years ago

His stunt was lauded online as "top tier trolling," given that some right-wing political leaders and other transphobic figures behind attacks on LGBTQ+ people and rights have boycotted Bud Light this year because of its paid partnership with trans social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

[-] lightnsfw@reddthat.com 1 points 2 years ago

top tier

Is this really all that's required to be "top tier". Have we fallen so far?

Fetterman has the backdoor to becoming a political juggernaut. If democrats would stop being afraid of the big bad GOP we might actually back them with some pride.

[-] Semi-Hemi-Demigod@kbin.social 25 points 2 years ago

Fetterman has the backdoor to becoming a political juggernaut.

It helps that he's already literal juggernaut

[-] tacosplease@lemmy.world 27 points 2 years ago

The more I see from him the more I like him. We need more politicians like this. Conservatives deserve to be trolled at every level of government.

Ty!!! Blue rust belt!

[-] Kit 14 points 2 years ago

I voted for Fetterman and I'm so glad to have him as a Senator. When a major bridge collapsed in my neighborhood, he showed up immediately in gym shorts to assure us that he would get it taken care of. Sure enough, a new bridge was built quickly and with an added bike lane. 10/10 would vote for him again.

I like Fetterman for his policies/opinions and I like the quips like when he was asked about impeachment and he said a fake "oh nooooo" or whatever...but this is so staged and cringy it gets into Fellow Kids territory.

Normal for a politician, below my standard for Fetterman.

[-] blazeknave@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago

We need votes anywhere and everywhere. He's progressive AF, let him talk to the kids their way

[-] GiddyGap@lemm.ee 9 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

I didn't use to buy Bud Light. After the conservative hate, it's basically the only beer I buy.

[-] Ismajil@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

ah, Bud light, the drink of BT Oddkast

[-] Xero@infosec.pub 3 points 2 years ago

Ah, the racist Frankenstein's monster has worshippers everywhere. One of the things I didn't like about Reddit was the fawning worship of that ballbag.

He held a black jogger at gunpoint because he fit the description. And no I don't care that the jogger forgave him. Fuck that guy.

[-] hoshikarakitaridia@sh.itjust.works 33 points 2 years ago

Source?

Otherwise you sound like a troll or a lunatic.

Thank you, this is interesting.

Looks like he was pursuing him in a truck with his shotgun. That said, it appears disputed whether he pointed the shotgun at him, whether he left his truck, and it appearently was in 2013 which by now is 10y ago.

Still, thanks for the source. Always take the good the bad and the boring with every politician.

[-] Mokujin@lemmy.world 26 points 2 years ago

The guy seems like he’d even care about your well being, I don’t understand the hate.

[-] No1RivenFucker@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 years ago

By what standards? He hasn't done a single thing during his time in office that I genuinely support. Hardly what I'd call caring about me

[-] Mokujin@lemmy.world 10 points 2 years ago

Human decency seems a good place to start.

When you care about what happens to all human beings instead of what someone does for you, you’ll understand.

[-] No1RivenFucker@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 years ago

He's a politician. What he does for me is pretty damn important

[-] GuyWithLag@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

So as long as you got yours, everyone else can get bent?

[-] Mossheart@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 years ago

Americaaaaa, fuck yeah!

[-] agentsquirrel@sh.itjust.works 23 points 2 years ago

For the record, are you a way far left liberal with no common sense, or just another run-of-the-mill conservative troll feigning concern over racism?

[-] 2ncs@lemmy.world 16 points 2 years ago

Ah, the racist Frankenstein's monster has worshippers everywhere

When you accuse some of racism and then proceed to judge them based on how they look it makes you look no better. Maybe be a good way to have conversation is to not make yourself look like an ass.

He held a black jogger at gunpoint because he fit the description.

How is it racist? Wouldn't it be racist if he didn't fit the description? I don't really have context on what happened, but from what you said there's nothing seemingly racist about it.

[-] Xero@infosec.pub 2 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

You should probably look up the story first before jumping in with your "he did nothing wrong" opinion. And your lookism is equal to racism idiocy was just piled on top of that.

[-] prole@sh.itjust.works 11 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

Yawn... try harder.
