It seems odd to me that Usenet is still viable and is still popular with a certain group. It's basically the old BBS system with a nicer wrapper on it. Been around since the 80s.
It'll never be a BBS to me without door games and screechy modem connecting sounds.
LOL I just find it interesting it's still viable and apparently profitable. Even a lot of the old players are still around. Usenet seems to have stood the test of time. I'm very surprised there haven't been strong arm attempts to shut it down.
Well, it is handy for those sailing the high seas…
Yeah...that's not my bag really. I don't condemn those who do. I assume you're an autonomous adult capable of making your own decisions.
It's a good alternative still, to each their own I suppose
Sure, no doubt. It's just one of those services that's been around so long you just forget it exists.
Are you related to the company that owns these providers? Seems like you just made an account to post these. There are also plenty of more deals in the usenet subreddit and more to come.
Why are you bothered by my post? I just got what's currently on a BF deal. As a Usenet fan myself, I thought it might be useful to post it here.
Why are you bothered by my post?
Because you are a brand new account who only posted deals, deals that are all from the same company, a company that is known to employ shill / sock puppet accounts across the internet to benefit them for financial gain. Compounded with the fact that your thread is called "*Black Friday Usenet Deals 2025" and you posted no other black friday deals that are out there currently.
I am a Newshosting fan, and I posted what was there at the time. I'd go back and include more brands if you were nicer, but now it's too late.
I’d go back and include more brands if you were nicer
I think we both know thats not why you wont include other services besides the 4 you listed all owned by the same corporation.
