My guess is Trump is in no shape to travel, be seen outside of a chair, etc.

Other people speculated that Putin is afraid to go anywhere in Europe.

There is no way putin will take the risk to fly over EU airspace.

[-] ILoveUnions@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Which is funny because EU wouldn't do anything. . . He's crazy paranoid

[-] Zephorah@discuss.online 3 points 3 days ago

Probably both.

They'll hint at selling Tomahawks to Ukraine by end of the week.

I wonder if they give each other makeup tips.

Why wasn't the fake Putin that was sent to Alaska not a bigger story? That was hilarious

[-] emmanuel_car@fedia.io 1 points 4 days ago

A 35 minute video. Is there a timestamp we can scroll to?

I got you, dude. Starts at like 6:40 and goes on and on, but I'll sum it up: Video of Putin who doesn't look or act quite like Putin. Guy in the video admits straight up that this is absolutely conspiracy theory before showing video of Putin making some odd facial expressions. It then goes on to talk about how this has been speculated about for a long time and how Russian news has shown Putin being in more places at once. I stopped watching, but it seems plausible. I can vouch that it's been speculated about for many years now. However, is it proven fact? Nope.

That other Putin looks more like the real Paul McCartney.

The world will be so much better off when both of these people are in the ground.

[-] Arancello@aussie.zone 11 points 4 days ago

He got his instructions from Putin in the 2 hour phone call. No need to fly anywhere unless he’s getting a big gift.

What, a fat 12-year-old girl to rape?

[-] SarcasticMan@lemmy.world 7 points 4 days ago

What will Putin do with all that polonium-210 he had saved up for the meeting?

[-] Steve@startrek.website 5 points 4 days ago

Mom is gonna be pissed

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Putin has reached the short term goal that Trump will not deliver Tomahawk missiles. So he sees no necessity to meet the imbecile.

If Trump re-urgitates the idea to actually support Ukraine, and Putin cannot bring him to heel again over the phone, he might have to bite the bullet and meet him to give Trump proper marching orders again.
