I would actually rather this UB line up than what we have and what is coming.
I’ve been kind of dying to find a new tcg but nothing really hits the strategy aspect that I like. Actually Magic doesn’t hit that strategy aspect anymore either
IDK why people are shocked MTG has turned into absolute capeshit when they've been convinced those are their most successful moments e.g. Weatherlight & nu-planeswalker stuff. They pick and choose which aspects of a block made it successful as an excuse to make the game worse.
Hopefully disgruntled fans pile on projects like XMage and it becomes more commonplace to do digital drafts, the game clients get better, and people just start inventing their own sets and formats that are actually good. The core of the game is the ruleset, and being in the clutches of WotC has limited the potential of the system
I was out when Modern Horizons broke the defining feature of my favorite format. Writing was on the wall, probably had been prior but I couldn't ignore it anymore.
I was out with War of the ~~Spork~~ Spark, but same.
My pet deck was no longer competitive and Modern no longer felt like the Brewer's Paradise it once was. And MH smashed the final nail into the coffin.
A Muppets UB would go so fucking hard.
All of those cards should have separate borders like UN cards do.
