Honestly I would rather it just die entirely if it isn’t going to remove them from the NFA. The $200 was never the core issue, the registry is. Now we don’t have the bargaining chip that all of the fudds and establishment legislators actually cared about/listened to, so we will be unlikely to actually ever get them fully off the NFA if the tax goes to $0. Not to mention the second Democrats have control they will Jack the tax up to well above what it initially was using the same process.

Didn't remove registration and other requirements. Better than nothing, but still sucks.

While it's not the outcome I wanted either, it's important to remember any victory is a victory. One reason gun control legislation has been so effective the last couple decades is that its advocates will take any victory and then keep pushing for more. I believe pro gun people should do the same.

Damn straight. They've been nickel and dime-ing away 2A rights for a long time, so there's quite a debt of injustice to claw away at.

I mean yeah, the shit that's been done should not have happened to begin with, but that unfortunately will not have the weight it should in terms of speed of reversal.

Why can’t this be a separate bill? I’d much rather have this without the baggage of the ten thousand bad ideas in the bbb.

With the tax gone, registration is legally unenforceable, the tax existing was the only reason enforcement was constitutional as far as Im aware.

It was either 4 boxes diner or tom grieve I heard that from so please do correct that statement if its incorrect.

I never thought I’d see people complaining about getting rid of the stamp tax. But this is Reddit…

Because setting a tax to $0 is not getting rid of it. It's creating a tax holiday until the debt explodes and the tax gets restored and pegged to inflation because this bill has created an initiated disaster in deficits. None of our elected officials are serious anymore.

I don't think it will ever get that bad like it was. Certainly an influx like the beginning of the shortened wait times for sure, but after that influx it Will catch back up because... There's no suppressors to sell. Nothing will be on the shelves lol.

However... Form one 3D printed suppressors are gonna be the SHIT now.

Any attack on our Constitution can not be a "win" for the Second Amendment of that same Constitution.

This bill is un-American to its core, and the Founding Fathers were slotting red coats for less than this. Anyone who views this Big Beautiful Bill in any kind of positive light is the enemy of America and her citizens. Anyone who thinks this bill is worthy of passing also thinks your brothers and sisters deserve famine and death. This isn't hyperbolic. It's literally the bill. You're Redcoats.
