I am looking for advice for a beginner. I have 3d printing experience and experience using firearms but not building them. I am interested in making the 3dp90 but am unsure on the feasibility and all the required parts you need to purchase/modify. With the guides to files are the instructions easy to follow and the parts easy to source and install? Am I biting off more than I can chew with this model and is the a more beginner friendly PDW I can start with? I am not interested in the Glock clones even though they seem to be the simplest. The P90 is just so nostalgic and feels like a fun project. Also could someone give a ball park cost I should except? TIA

3dp90 is a work of art not just a gun bro, you'd think a German designed that thing with how overwhelming the internals are when they are all printed, please for your own mental stability try something less complicated to start with bro otherwise you might just say "fuck this" and we'll lose a member to our highly dysfunctional community.

Yeah probably a good call. God forbid this dysfunctional community let me ask some valuable questions though without a bunch of downvotes

People just jump on down votes for the sake of it on Foss lol.

Agreed! The 3dp90 is an indepth build. But now that the update was released, the instructions are far easier to follow. I will give another vote for the fgcz9. If you go that route, I suggest just buying the bolt. Unless you have access to a mill. I tried to go the diy your, and failed. It's a pain in the ass

I attempted the 3dp90 when I was a beginner, I would highly advise doing some smaller scale builds first. It's a very intensive build, if you're bent on doing a primarily diy build id recommend the fgc9 or if you can find the parts and want something a bit more unique, look at the fgcz9 by HulkHogan

What would you consider smaller scale? is the FGC9 in that category?

The FGC9 does look cool, but doesn’t the stock on it, being considered a pistol, make it illegal?

All I see is a pistol brace. Don't know what "stock" you're talking about.

There is a lot left to be desired about the instructions and they can get quite complicated and rely on the readers own extrapolation.

It’s not as complicated as it looks. Read the bolt instructions, and if you can handle that, the rest is peanuts.
