Why can’t some people resist putting things in every orifice? There’s gotta be some innate drive to do this. Does anyone here relate? What’s the attraction? I want to understand. Seeing weird-shaped things is clearly appealing somehow.

If we weren't all disgusting horny animals at our core just looking for a hole to jam ourselves into or to jam stuff into our holes, there wouldn't be 8+ billion of us.

[-] Deceptichum@quokk.au 6 points 2 weeks ago

All our ancestors who were squeamish about inserting new things into every orifice eventually starved and died off.

[-] MonkeyTown@midwest.social 1 points 2 weeks ago

Can confirm. Not squeamish per se, but not interested in putting things into any holes (other than food in mouth, and even that’s a pretty weak drive) and I’m definitely not passing on my shit genes, so.

Hey I see something I'm going to try to fit in my ass, my mouth or both and it's perfectly natural.

[-] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

I can vibe with that.

I guess my question is more about the ‘challenge’ objects. Like I get wanting to put things places, but it’s the stuff that lands you in YouTube compilations due to ‘misadventure’, that clearly looked risky, that gets me.

Putting the OP bottles in places, or getting your nuts trapped in the slats of a park bench such that the fire department has to remove them, things like that.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

It happens to the best of us and sometimes squirrel nuts too.

[-] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 weeks ago

I found that distressing. I’m gonna assume OP manhandled that dude’s nuts after filming for my own sanity.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Maybe he just left the little guy hanging.

Who the heck puts orange juice inside lightbulbs?

[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 2 weeks ago

Judging by the labels? New Yorkers 🤷

[-] MeatPilot@lemmy.world 15 points 2 weeks ago

Lot of questions, but mine is how do you set it down after taking a sip?

[-] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 weeks ago

Do you have the 100 watt flavor?

[-] DmMacniel@feddit.org 5 points 2 weeks ago

Hey only what you see here, pal.

[-] parody@lemmings.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

Why are there so many image search results for orange juice lightbulb

[-] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 weeks ago

Somebody’s going to wind up in the ER over these.

Flared bases, people!

[-] Nightlight17776@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 weeks ago

What happens if you screw it in and turn on the power?

[-] molten@lemmy.world 6 points 2 weeks ago

Depends. Probably nothing spectacular. At best you'll get a "pop" an OJ-glass explosion and a breaker needs to be switched back on. More likely nothing. Shake it up first if you're gonna try it

[-] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 4 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

I think the tip is not connected so there won't be a reaction. If both electrodes are touching the juice (unlikely), it may start to boil (and chemically react via electrolysis) and break the glass but the breaker will almost certainly pop before then. Strange that I can't find videos of people doing it.

My grandpa used to have a vodka one, and it specifically warned about a fire hazard if powered...

Bring back old-school Orangina!
