I mean its debated to death at this point, but my forever headcannon is that she is a parallel world Mara who activated the planet and lived to regret the consequences
i personally think a head canon like that takes away from the intentional mystery of razz. she's to me, represents the chaos, beauty and mystery of the planet of etheria itself. mara and adora only understand what they are by seeing etheria's representation in action, understanding that they dont need to overcomplicate how much they need to know to take actions and learn to let the chaos exist uncontrolled
I think it could be both -- a regretful Mara cannot live with what she's done and vows to become the heart of etheria itself, happily losing her marbles in the process
interesting. i might think about this idea on my next rewatch
