Hang equivalent documents of every religion you can think of. Also, hang the logic fallacy chart.

Where's the satanic Temple when you need them

Suffering from poor leadership and infighting, unfortunately.

The mah-freedom-folks forcing people to do something (and making everyone less free) again.

Don't. So they then complain about it.

Post them upsidedown.

[-] RBWells@lemmy.world 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I don't think having to post them means you have to believe them or pay attention to them, nor will the kids. Middle School is old enough to understand that not all laws make sense, that there are discriminatory rules.

So just some talk or a note about where these come from, that it's a state mandate explicitly designed to exclude and make people uncomfortable, and that it's got nothing to do with your class so can be ignored seems fine.

You can't, which is the point.

Anyone with abrahamic religion background should, on paper, be into those. Moses is an important figure in christian, islam, jewish and other religious texts. In practice, most don't know that, though.

Good thing the nearly 4.5 billion adherents of Abrahamic Religions have you to educate them in what they "should" be "into".

Weren't they enjoined from this already?

[-] andros_rex@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

Looks like it only applies to a handful of districts.

Louisiana did the same shit last year and got shut down.

Oklahoma tried earlier this year, but I think the bill died.

The fuckers will just try again every single year. Showboating, wasting state funds on stupid battles that they know they will lose. Although now they’re emboldened, because our current SCOTUS doesn’t give a shit about the constitution.
