The amount of irreversible damage the leaded gas generation has caused is immeasurable.
Like, I cannot stress enough how hard this gets buried.
They pumped lead into the air. Lead. The element that makes you stupid and violent. So your 30 minute commute was an hour a day huffing lead fumes if you had your window open or didn't recirculate the air.
Really not hard to see how MAGA took hold they way it did. The older ones were literally retarded and the younger ones are your usual "My dad can do nothing wrong so I'm gonna do what he does" repubs. (Spoiler: dad shit his diaper and is ranting about Mexicans again)
Their politicians realized they could get the same results they had from leaded gas by cutting education and playing right wing radio and right wing tv all day to idiots.
It has the added bonus of making money running ads between the propaganda.
I can get behind that.
