It’s the Christopher Columbus type of exploration and discovery
Waving at the local natives as they walk by, plants a flag and proclaims this region of space as the Delta Quadrant.
Local natives: .... Delta Quadrant? ... what are these idiots from the Delta Quadrant talking about? ... This is the Alpha Quadrant!
Oo oo what about "The fighting mongoose quadrant"
You can be crummy Alpha Quadrant
We'll be Quadrant 1.
RAH RAH FIGHTING MONGEESES
"No man" has gone before. And by "man" they mean "humans."
What was Éowyn doing there?
I honestly thought I'd deleted that comment...
This depends on which star trek you're watching.
TOS says "no man" but TNG and beyond say "no one".
Either way, you could feasibly interpret the mission statement as three separate objectives:
- Explore strange new worlds (habitation unspecified)
- Seek out new life and new civilizations (sort of overlaps with the first)
- Boldly go where no one has gone before (explore totally uninhabited areas)
Just like in No Man's Sky
She has a sky as well?
Of course, how else do you think she gets to the places where Gnome Ann has gone before?
more like Every Person's Sky
nobody*
*terms and conditions apply
sometimes it's their hidden basement they're discovering.
