I voted for democrats because I didn't want Trump. The US is a two party system, and that's not changing anytime soon. If there was a real third option, I'd vote for it.

You can demand either party to cave to your demands if they want your vote. The one who needs the votes more will eventually need to take your position if they know you will not vote for them otherwise.

Yeah, cause those Republicans sure are protecting the innocent children....

No. It’s balancing the equation in a choice, not a redirection.

[-] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 3 points 22 hours ago

Do you want to try that again, but coherent this time?

[-] Stabbitha@lemmy.world 5 points 21 hours ago

It's not our fault your reading comprehension is shit

[-] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 2 points 21 hours ago

Ah yes, the time honoured shitlib technique of talking complete nonsense then accusing everyone else of having bad reading comprehension. It's like I'm really on 2012 Reddit

[-] Fredthefishlord 4 points 21 hours ago

There is only 2 choices. And not voting is a vote for one of them.

[-] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 2 points 21 hours ago

So? What does that have to do with excusing genocide, other then being whataboutism?

And not voting is a vote for one of them.

Lol, ok. Which one?

The difference is there's one you can do, right now, unilaterally, with absolute ease.

The other is much, much harder and an ongoing project fighting entrenched interests that can ALSO be worked on simultaneously.

It's like saying you didn't take out your garbage for 6 months because you haven't finished your thesis paper.

[-] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 4 points 17 hours ago

Actually you can, right now, unilaterally, an with absolute ease, not excuse the Democrats supporting genocide.

[-] mycodesucks@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago

Done. Not excused.

Now can they get off X?

[-] BrainInABox@lemmy.ml 1 points 16 hours ago

Well I'm certainly not on X

[-] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

If you want to avoid supporting genocide you’ll have to leave the US. We’ve been pro genocide since 1492.

[-] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

We’ve been pro genocide since 1492.

eeeh, that's kinda, a hands off way to describe it.

We’ve been genocide pros since 1492.

Garbage interpretation of the election

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

Yeah. Centrists didn't excuse genocide. They celebrated it.

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 23 points 2 days ago

The brunching, good-for-nothing liberals are going to be furious when they read this meme.

Of course genocide was okay when the Dems supported it.

/s

[-] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

Of course genocide was okay when the Dems supported it.

Past tense? They still support it. They just have to pretend they don't like it because trump is president.

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago

You're right. I meant to infer when they were the ones in charge, but you're right.

[-] Uruanna@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

I don't think I've seen any Democrat pretend they don't like what the US is doing with Israel and Gaza. Beside the usual gang anyway. There have been some votes changing sides a little more I think, but I can't recall any one of them actually talking about it AND voting against it. Some have talked about how it's bad and yet have kept voting for it. Especially no one speaking up against AIPAC.

[-] limer@lemmy.ml 10 points 2 days ago

You know the difference between a democratic and gop leader? The gop wants to do crimes domestically and in Gaza. While the democrat just wants to do crimes abroad

[-] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

People keep saying that, and then it turns out both sides don't want the Epstein List made public because they both know they're in it.

[-] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 day ago

Democrats were deporting immigrants woth ICE and beating up students as well.

Also I don't differentiate between whether the leader supports the American Ubermenschen.

[-] limer@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 day ago

It sounded better in my mind last night. And I should have just said genocide.
