High quality, not necessarily high effort.

Share your favorite artsy content from the internet. Anything good enough to download to your device is a good rule of thumb.

Weird, surreal and abstract art, as well as works related to internet culture are preferred, but not a must.

I recommend checking out the stuff that has already been posted to get a feel for this community first.

Enjoy.

Question: how do we feel about net.art, or e-lit stuff, or hypertext stuff here? Are images/gifs/visual art formats the only things kosher in this comm?

Don't have any pressing thing I want to share just yet, only curious in case I do another deep-dive on stuff only super nerds supported by some university's english lit or media arts departments typically care about (much of it is lame, much of it is actually pretty cool).

As long as it isn't breaking the rules (especially no porn* and no gore) it's cool by me. ๐Ÿ‘ Honestly I don't know what exactly it is, but I am intrigued now. Feel free to post it. ๐Ÿ™‚

*non-sexual nudity is fine, please tag nsfw.

Any recommended frameworks or programs to make stuff like this?

[-] Nebula@fedia.io 2 points 2 weeks ago

Blender is the first that comes to mind.

Edit: Krita for illustrations.

And GIMP as a Photoshop alternative.

โš ๏ธ Disclaimers

Strobing / flashing lights warning: Not recommended for people with photosensitive epilepsy.

For Artists: If you don't want your work to be posted here, please send me a message. I will, of course, remove all of your art and make note to not post it in the future, either. Best case scenario would be promotion of your work and entertainment for everyone else. I do not have any financial incentive in this.

Rules

TLDR: Give credit, if possible. Tag NSFW - no porn, no gore. Strive to be the opposite of Twitter.

โœ๏ธ 1) If you know the artist, credit them.

๐Ÿ”ž 2) Tag NSFW. No extreme, or even real gore & no porn. Non-sexual nudity is fine.

๐Ÿซ‚ 3) Be respectful of others. It sounds so obvious, but remember you are conversing with another human being and imagine you were talking to them in person.

๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ 4) No politics, no hostile debates (light-hearted jokes and respectful discussions are fine).

โ„น๏ธ If you are wondering: I don't give a shit about swearing, except racial slurs and mean spirited insults to others.

Thanks.
