What reliable bow string would you recommend for a 62 inch recurve takedown bow? The string that came with my starter kit frayed by the third session and I've heard some strings can last up to three years with regular use if properly maintained.

I have no idea about brands, as we have a couple of people who makes strings at the club.

That the string started to fray by the third session is weird. A string should be able to shoot 10s of thousands of arrows, without little more than the occasional waxing. Was your string waxed?

It was, it just came with a starter takedown bow I bought at the range so it must've been sitting in the shelf for a very long time without maintenance.
