That's so fucking weird to me. But I suppose I shouldn't be surprised because everyone i know that watches Fox News doesn't just watch a show or two. They leave it playing 24/7.

every time they're about to go out of business, a bunch of people come to the store and buy so much stuff that they keep the business afloat
Because the show wasn't good. That's why its ratings were down in the first place. People are only tuning in now because they think Colbert might finally say something with a bit of bite now that the show is already gone.
