Well I wish I could get people off what's app. It's the default way to message people where I'm from 😭
Me too. But i convised my family members and 2 close friends to install it, ans we talk through signal. It's a start.
How often you’re having sex
Can they… help with improving this? Asking for a friend.
Would be interesting to knowing GDPR has any impact at all on this
The problem is, even if you don't have an account in Fakebook, it is enogh if an family member or a friend has one, because FB has access to their mail and telephone lists where you appears. Apart of this there are a lot of webservices which share data with Facebook, like some hosts, cloudservices, imgur and a lot of others, perfect to profile everyone.
This is why I don't interact with family or friends. My mom doesn't know my email address.
Better so, but it's not the only privacy hole used by Zuckerbot.
if i had an account decades ago (real names only era), and deleted every post (manually) and my account when a .edu wasn't going to be required anymore, and I currently use noscript + uBlock origin, apple devices with Brave, how much of this stuff do you think the company has?
Do you think my name shows up in other people's accounts even though I don't have an account?
Unfortunately your less cautious cohorts can reveal much of this about you as well. Privacy is a deep rabbit hole. Do what you can, try to educate your peers.

I believe they use phone numbers as another vector. So if someone has you in their contacts, it will link you back if they have faecesbook installed
Even worse for me. I used to work for Facebook, so they know my social security number and have run a background check on me.
