I knew this would happen. Payment processors did the same thing with firearm accessories, and now they're doing this to adult content. I wonder what else they will try to ban? LGBTQ content?

Fucking self righteous fruitcakes (the finance companies, not Steam)

Payment processors, if left on their own, would take any money from any person for any reason. This is more to do with a patchwork of laws that are trying to snuff out anything "adult" and will absolutely sweep up every party even remotely involved in the transaction.

They're covering their own ass. It's cowardice, not righteousness.

I feel like steam is big enough to push back on this?

Like its frustrating when smaller operations get told what to do by visa and MC but steam is MASSIVE. They are not going to give up that revenue if steam says no

Steam is nowhere near big enough to push back against this.

You can't argue with the people that hold the money.

Man there really should be a better money transaction solution then PayPal…

[-] pizza_the_hutt@sh.itjust.works 24 points 1 week ago

Valve should start its own payment processor.

At this point steam will become the everything app

Well there was crypto but like everything it gets fucked by the greedy/nefarious the moment it's worth something, though I suppose if it can get so corrupted so quickly then it was probably not the greatest solution to begin with

Stuff payment processors don't like is a vague rule.

Great puritan payment processors stepping outside their lane…

They did the same thing with Patreon, they normally target incest or zoophilia(don't know if they include furry on that one).

Funny that Trump was saying shit about the Brazilian payment method, how is unfair to America or some shit. Maybe been dependent of American private payment processors is a bad idea.
