He should press charges. But I will be surprised if he does. And I will be even more surprised if the Do”J” actually responds to the request - let alone treats it seriously.
Personally, in his shoes, I'd press charges hard and get this as deep in the legal system as possible.

Now, you may say "But that's not what our legal system allows", to which I ask you to look at history. Every dictator, on their path to becoming a dictator eliminates political opponents first. Then no one stands before them on their path to unrestricted dictatorship.
Execution of a senator would be quite the step up. You gotta build a little more facism first before we hit that.
Maybe year 2.5 we will get to senators being executed.

Has anyone seen the video footage preceding this? What caused him to be removed?
I don't know if there's video footage of Padilla specifically preceding this moment of the press conference, but I think this clip captures most of what happened. Here's a description from AP News:
Padilla interrupted the news conference after Noem delivered a particularly pointed line, saying federal authorities were not going away but planned to stay and increase operations to “liberate” the city from its "socialist" leadership.
In terms of why he was removed, the article also says this:
In a statement, DHS said that Padilla “chose disrespectful political theater” and that Secret Service “thought he was an attacker.” The statement claimed erroneously that Padilla did not identify himself — he did, as he was being pushed from the room.
Which is obviously a retroactive justification. From what I can tell they did it because it was "disrespectful" to Noem (which is not illegal) and they knew they could get away with it.
EDIT: Found some slightly longer footage here which just shows him pressing towards the front of the group before getting pushed back.
Pretty sure there's gotta be a law against the federal government officially attacking a state to remove democratically elected officials.
Because that's exactly what her statement says they are there to do. Nothing about immigration or protests.
There's lots of laws against the things Donald is doing.
The problem is that they are meaningless when unenforced.
Ya know.....my innitial instinct was to make a joke. But this actually needs to be treated as the serious situation that it is.
