Instructions unclear. Sandwich now smells funny

[-] PeteZa@lemm.ee 5 points 2 days ago

This is so stupid. I love it.

[-] three@lemmy.zip 139 points 4 days ago

Is mayonnaise a distribution?

[-] ceenote@lemmy.world 66 points 4 days ago

Looks like it. You distribute it across the bread.

This is what using Lemmy feels like sometimes.

[-] TempermentalAnomaly@lemmy.world 57 points 4 days ago

Here's some others:

  • Windows is garbage. The last time windows was good was Windows [10, 7, 2000, NT, 3.1, O/S2].
  • don't you care about your privacy?
  • All AI is all slop all the time. If you think of using AI you are garbage.
  • Star Trek. I have no issues with my Star Trek homies. Y'all are awesome.
[-] paraphrand@lemmy.world 24 points 4 days ago

You are forgetting:

  • you have the moral obligation to pirate all creative works.
[-] Buddahriffic@lemmy.world 15 points 4 days ago

IP as a concept exists in a superstate where it's bad in the context of piracy but good in the context of generative AI.

[-] MummysLittleBloodSlut 10 points 4 days ago

When I watch a movie, the credits roll at the end. I can look up the actors on IMDb. Even if I pirated it, I know who made it. That's how I know Rian Johnson is a good director and I should watch anything he makes.

AI can't name its inspiration.

  • Capitalism is always given as the reason something is bad, that way nobody has to try and improve anything because the revolution is for later and working within the system is supporting the bad thing.
[-] BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world 9 points 3 days ago

The last time Windows was good was… hmm. Never. It was never good.

[-] pupbiru@aussie.zone 3 points 2 days ago

windows n-1 was was good: an always relevant statement not because it’s true, but because less shit than whatever the garbage is now is such a low bar

[-] cupcakezealot 3 points 3 days ago

"Let's rant about linux.... in a linux community"

If you are so sassy about people having fun, just block the instance. I cant promise you will stop reading about linux, but your feed will be co siderably cleaner

[-] TempermentalAnomaly@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

Do you not get the meme... It's funny because it's true.

Lemmy: AI is garbage

Me who uses it to eliminate a shit ton of my mindless tasks like writing unit tests: You are garbage and is your opinion

[-] Redjard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 4 days ago

*gets downvoted to oblivion*
The lemmy experience

Please tell me you do at least proofread the unit tests though.

Ps: No your garbage

I'm sure Linux is overrepresented across the whole of Lemmy but to be fair, we are in a community specifically about Linux. You could also just block the term Linux and be done with it

Alright guys I'm gonna tell you...I don't use butter on my grilled cheese.

Nah. I use mayonnaise. A very thin coating, it doesn't take much -- and ultimately it's easier for butter to be many more calories and taste inferior

[-] PeteZa@lemm.ee 1 points 2 days ago

Interesting. I put mayo on my hot dog buns. Just makes it better.

[-] sheogorath@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Mayo is an easy cheat code for a lot of things.

[-] Andromxda@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 3 days ago

Looks like an average Google Gemini reponse

[-] Venus_Ziegenfalle@feddit.org 31 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

No need for a vm btw, you can try a lot of them from your browser using distrosea.

[-] OpenStars@piefed.social 7 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

Instructions unclear, now have a perfectly functioning system whereas before it would show ads in the Start Menu. Should I start over and do again?

arch is like when you put bacon on your grilled cheese and dip it in tomato soup

[-] pupbiru@aussie.zone 2 points 2 days ago

way better than you’d expect, or a structurally catastrophic mess

and that’s a 50/50 or

[-] Evotech@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

Just be to grow your own tomatoes and raise your own cows first

[-] EchoSnail@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 days ago

Ive always used Debian based OS and I'm scared of arch. But I'm intrigued.

[-] SSNs4evr@leminal.space 10 points 4 days ago

spoiler

Or just start with Ubuntu, while using a good mayonnaise for your grilled cheese.

2. Be civil
  • Understand the difference between a joke and an insult.
  • Do not harrass or attack users for any reason. This includes using blanket terms, like "every user of thing".
  • Don't get baited into back-and-forth insults. We are not animals.
  • Leave remarks of "peasantry" to the PCMR community. If you dislike an OS/service/application, attack the thing you dislike, not the individuals who use it. Some people may not have a choice.
  • Bigotry will not be tolerated.
  • 3. Post Linux-related content

  • Non-Linux content is acceptable as long as it makes a reference to Linux. For example, the poorly made mockery of sudo in Windows.
  • No porn, no politics, no trolling or ragebaiting.
