I wouldn't be so excited about this spike. I feel it may have been created by a botnet auto creating a bunch of accounts on 18th and 19th. It doesn't look natural.
edit: You can also see the "active user ratio" dropping significantly in the same timeframe.

There have been several instances reporting massive amounts of bot accounts. They are working on purging them and have started enabling captcha to stop new ones.

Otoh, something like 600 pages of new posts have been made in the last like 36hours iirc? Vs about 1800 pages created over the last few years?

It’s crazy to think that when I joined, Beehaw had <2k users, and now it has about 6 times that. So many server upgrades happened in just one weekend, many new moderators (a dream team, one might say), and many new servers to federate with as well.
