I would like to use device names such as "NBR-NW1 (John's AC)" which is shorthand for "North Bedroom North Wall1 (John's AC)". However, it appears as though when I ask the assistant to "turn on John's AC", it does not match it to anything.

If you go into the entity settings, you should be able to set an alias.

Oh, that worked perfect. Thank you.

Edit: One thing assist does not do, which I feel like it should, is it should give you some sort of information if you ask it for "help".
