The fuck is with these comments?

If you are having difficulties parsing a situation, or deciding what the right thing to do or say is, ask yourself:

What would SpiderMan do or say?

These times call for courage to stand up for what is right, not cynicism or defeatist attitudes. And this mofo is being courageous AF-- witness him!

And you all better find the courage to do the same yourself, instead of waiting in fear hoping someone will fix things before the Nazis come for you too.

Ain't nobody coming to help. It's all up to us!

If ya don't know where to start, start by joining the protests so you can connect with other community organizing efforts. Everybody counts!

I agree, but Spider-Man's a bad example. It's easy to stand up to tyrants when you have super powers.

[-] quetzaldilla@lemmy.world 15 points 3 days ago

It's never been easy for Spidey, even with superpowers.

It's just an example of someone who is trying to do the right thing even when it is very difficult or unrecognized.

That's why they are heroes.

Yeah but his enemies have super powers too. Ours are just fat, slow, and his only power is executive orders

Good for this guy. I expect him to be dissappeared in the next few months, probably when everyone has forgotten about him

I would also be afraid and would move away.

[-] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago

He, however, is not afraid.

He may also want to be armed, though, just in case.

I didn't say I have two 2 too! Only that I have two too.

Doin’ Don’s work for him…

Yeah I'm on the edge on that one. I think the guy is cool and should live. Therefore he should do what is in his best interest. There's nothing wrong with being afraid and confronting your fears. However if you feared trains, I would not confront one right away.

I’m coming to learn Lemmings will be the first to fold under the slightest bit of pressure
