This kitty worships the sun, or Aten. If you know, you know.

Animal abuse

Edit: For everyone defending this, I don't care if they are at the vet, and I don't care if the cat "did it to itself" (another sign of owner negligence). The owner is still taking delight in sharing a picture of their own animal in distress. They think it's cute, and that's gross.

If you look closely, you see it's at the vet. So the cat likely isn't placed in the collar by the owner's intention.

Or maybe they’re trying to find some humor in a pricy vet bill.

JFC get over yourself. If the animal does it to itself, and you rush it to the vet like this person did, that is in no way, shape, or form ‘animal abuse’.

I love from-the-hip judgements like this. Absolute (and completely unfounded) confidence in something you don't know. Glorious.

In the future, you can throw the image URL into a service like TinEye and get results like this. If you sort by oldest you can usually find some context.

Is it abuse if they do it to themselves?

[-] myotheraccount@lemmy.world 23 points 1 week ago

Yes! Why even acquire a human, if you can't blame them for eveything?

The first commenter is obviously a cat in disguise.
