Private firefighter companies (who will only respond to calls from rich people) incoming.

Interestingly this is how it started out here. You bought fire insurance and were protected by a fire company. I want to say it was one of Franklin's things that established the first public fire company in Philadelphia, but this is a forum so if I'm wrong I know I'll be corrected!

We still have a lot of groups, at least in the northeast, that refer to themselves as companies, though it's used more like an army company or battalion and less like a for-profit endeavor.

I know a firefighter who is a captain in California of a station, he's the biggest hardcore trump fanatic and incredibly racist. Have the day you deserve, my dude!

I make it my secondary goals when hanging around the station (am firefighter) to chime in and knock down any pro trump (heck pro state) rhetoric pretty quickly. It’s worked on a few so far.

I really appreciate you. It's really hard in a professional setting to speak up against your colleagues. Thank you for your courage to stand your ground and call out hatred when you see it.

Womp womp, you vote for a fascist you have to deal with the fascist

Damn, he must think he's pretty clearly entrenched and in the clear for full throttle fascism if he's already blatantly turning on some of his core supporters and charismatic rescue fauna.

But, he's also the only president I've ever heard of who forced members of the military to face paycheck uncertainty (US Coast Guard, Government shutdown of 2018-19). And yet plenty of those guys and gals STILL supported him during and after 🙄

Have the day you voted for really kicking those firefighters in the britches on this one.
