Example of a great snack. These were my favorite pretzels at one point. Currently craving.

Their jalepeno ones are fantastic.

Whoever invented this is a business genius.

Take the broken pretzel pieces from your assembly line, coat them in 5ยข of seasoning, and charge double the price.

I'm not even mad, because they taste so fucking good.

Why don't you just flash some crack at a narcs anonymous meeting?

[-] HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Psst. Now, don't give away all the good ideas. Lol.

I both love these, but then also find them disgusting after eating a bunch, every time

[-] HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Actually that is why they were my favorite. I could only eat a few. They were my only junk food at the time and I lost weight.

Too bad they're always so crushingly expensive

Something tells me even the off brand version is still pretty expensive cuz pretzels in general are pretty pricey, though I'm way more surprised there is an off-brand version where you are. There's literally no off-brand option where I live. It's only dots and snyders.

The off brand is blander but still has a kick if I find it again I will post. Dollar store quality tho. I am just not really picky and I'm too poor.

Underrated, and over looked by all

[-] Skanky@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Pretzels so hard you worry about cracking a tooth while eating them. But the taste is so good, you just say "fuck it"

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

For some reason, they have vanished from European markets some time ago.

[-] synapse1278@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Not this brand, but I find them very easily in Germany. At least 3 different brands are available at the grocery stores near me.

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

I know there are alternatives, but they actually taste different.

But primarily I was wondering why they vanished from the shelves.

[-] HoneyMustardGas@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Oh, no. That sucks. Is there a bad ingredient in them, or something? I buy off brand

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

No idea what happened. I used to buy them occasionally, and then they were no longer available. So they still exist. I thought that this was caused by it to be only a short-term thing or a trial run.

[-] Jhex@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Read the ingredients to know why

They are tasty but deadly

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Difficult to read when they are no longer available.

It only shows the nutrition facts for me, not the ingredient list.

No need to shout ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hmm. Canola oil in food?

Sodium hydroxide is E524 and works as an acid regulator. Not something people expect in food, but used quite often, e.g. to counteract hydrochloric acid used to peel fruits.

Looks like HSP (hydrolized soy protein) could be the issue. I think I remember it to be a potential carcinogen, so the FDA would permit it until people can prove they died from it...

No need to shout ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

it was a copy / paste from their site

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

I know. That's why I added the ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.

[-] GiveOver@feddit.uk 1 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah they added some ingredient that's banned over here. It was the only food I ever bought from Amazon. If you're in UK, farmfoods sell a good substitute called munchkings pretzel crush

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

I'll look out for them in June. Are they sold at Tesco's?

[-] GiveOver@feddit.uk 1 points 2 weeks ago

Not sure, only ever seen them at farmfoods

[-] Treczoks@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Oh, farmfoods is a chain, or something? Have not seen one yet.
