I was hoping for something federated, but maybe Invision forums will add ActivityPub support eventually.

We COULD use their RSS feed to make posts here? https://forum.keyosc.com/discover/all.xml/

It would be using this bot: https://rss.ponder.cat/post/1454

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Would it just drown out our own posts? Or maybe pick and choose which feeds to add so we don't get their general discussion forum.

We can do each individual forum that we want, like https://forum.keyosc.com/forum/29-%C2%B5-ziq.xml/ and https://forum.keyosc.com/forum/7-new-upcoming-releases.xml/

Having a separate community for that would be better, so if someone is not interested could filter it more easily

Added the community to the sidebar. As I see it has a lot of posts, so here it would bury the few generic links, at the current scale of this community it's better if it's separate.

you for sure it's more than I expected, I was thinking of removing some of the feeds (like the generic Music Discussion) but maybe it's ok

Invision ActivityPub support doesn't seem to be coming soon

honestly even readonly support for Lemmy users would be nice, so I can stay up to date with them and lurk, and if I see something I want to comment on I could open their site

Ah, that's really too bad.

The old school forum model is dead.

Federated forums are the future. I will even take the risk and state that the federated model (it's evolved variant) will outlive the current commercial spyware model.

Intelligent dance music (commonly abbreviated as IDM) is a style of electronic music originating in the early 1990s, defined by idiosyncratic experimentation rather than specific genre constraints. It emerged from the culture and sound palette of electronic and rave music styles such as ambient techno, acid house, Detroit techno and breakbeat; it has been regarded as better suited to home listening than dancing. Prominent artists associated with it include Aphex Twin, Autechre, Squarepusher, Venetian Snares, Boards of Canada, Telefon Tel Aviv, ฮผ-Ziq, the Black Dog, the Future Sound of London, and Luke Vibert.
