When it happens (and I think we all know it's going to happen) many local public radio stations will have to close. The ones that remain will be free from the "no advertising" restriction so at least they will be able to run ads for local business to make up the difference. It's going to be a sad day.

Call or email your representatives to let them know you support Public Media.

I emailed both my D Senators, even though they already support PBS and NPR. I also emailed the shitty maga dentist who pretends to be a congressman, and who sent an auto-generated form reply decrying Public Media for falsely claiming that musk made a nazi salute.

That means your calls/emails can actually have an impact! Republicans right now are very afraid they're pissing off their constituents, so every call/email/protest in red states hits harder.
