Well, he united Canada as it's never been united before, inspired a wave of Canadian patriotism, caused the rest of the world to shower us with support, raised the Liberal Party from its death bed, and now he's helping to solve our health care problems. Trump is amazing. (tic)
Good we need more doctors in Canada.
"Investigate" what? Healthcare professionals don't want to work under a Nazi Regime. What's hard to understand?
The same happened when Nazis controlled Germany, and guess what? They also came to Canada 😁
I think you read it backwards. It’s the doctors inquiring about moving to Canada.
Yes, I read it right. 🧐
There's nowhere for us poor people to go. My death will be in America. By them or by suicide. St. Luigi.
Or fighting for the freedom of you, and the rest of Americans in the same position as you.
It's a hard choice to make.
I knew folks who literally walked from Afghanistan to the Netherlands. Where there is a will, there is way (to seek refuge)
If I'm welcome legally I'd leave.
Just a head's up if you do ... don't come in winter. It's just too dangerous, especially along the BC-to-northwestern Ontario section.
-40 is bad, and others who've tried have died or lost limbs/fingers/toes to the freezing cold.
US physicians: read https://canadahealthwatch.ca/2025/03/25/i-traded-my-u-s-medical-career-for-life-in-canada-heres-how-the-two-health-systems-stack-up. I think you're most welcome here :)
Not a doctor, but I live in the southeastern US, and I've said that I have personal, regional, national, and global reasons for wanting to move north.
They'll have to be prepared to make a lot less money but otherwise life is great up here. they're still doctors, I'm sure they'll do just fine.
But pay a lot less in insurance also. Plus a lot fewer lawsuit hassles.
They also won't have to waste half of their time arguing with dumbass insurance companies who are second guessing their treatment plans.
Yeah, if I were a doctor in the US, I'd choose a slight, even moderate, pay cut over getting thrown in prison (if lucky, and not just disappeared) for treating patients who need treatment.
When someone I know moved back to Canada as a GP, he said that his income actually went up slightly.
His clinic in Indiana required to people for each doctor, working on nothing but billing and insurance. His clinic in Canada had one billing person for five doctors.
There are several ways that our health system benefits doctors' take home pay, aside from billing. Malpractice insurance is another.
Freedom and truth will outweigh financial compensation every time.
I agree, I'n Canadian and will never go down south, even if I have to pass up 2-3X salary.
Ya, just don’t go to Quebec.
Whoa, great username!
