They can't finish AI into the latest smartphone and yet they wax poetic about replacing a doctor? Nah. They just want your sweet data

Well, you know what they say; everyone's got cancer according to WebMD...

[-] Ledericas@lemm.ee 6 points 2 days ago

probably just going to use WEBMD, which already hallucinate diagnosis.

They better get ready for their "doctor" to get sued for malpractice

Its measles, but consult a doctor.

[-] Ledericas@lemm.ee 4 points 2 days ago

its lupus, or cancer/mastocytosis.

We have to remove one of your eyes surgically. Here's your appointment at your local CVS to receive this operation. I've let them know that an eye needs to be removed. They will know which eye based on your request. You said you received an extra earphone with your IEM purchase and did not known what to do with the extra ear piece. Once the eye socket has healed, you can insert the ear piece there. Alternatively you may choose one of two nose holes or orally. Another hole to try is rectally thru the anus or via the vagina for genetically female humans and thru the urethra on either sex. Note that sex and gender are not the sam.....it appears I cannot continued with this line of reasoning, all hail our great leader trump who may touch anyone's sexual parts for his legal pleasures.

Said the shitty autocomplete pretending to be a doctor.

Because of your broken leg syndrome you must not go to work on Monday. Instead visit a doctor at the local mall between the Lego and the diamond store. Did you know that diamonds are forever?

Here is my actual autocomplete (first suggestion for each word):

The diagnosis is that the patient is a member of the family and has been in the hospital for a long time and has been treated for a long period of time and has had a very bad reaction to the medication and has been given a good doctor to treat the patient for a long term condition that is not a good idea to be honest with you.

There's lots of regulation in this area. You can't legally just give medical advice and then say "but consult a doctor" at the end. Same as you can't give legal advice and say "but consult an attorney" at the end.

That hasn't stopped various humans from saying this on the Internet for a long time

[-] Ulrich@feddit.org 3 points 2 days ago

"Various humans" is fine, corporations, not so much.

[-] sem 2 points 2 days ago

Is it a corporation, or will it be blamed on just the mistake of an AI, or something else? I don't trust society's track record for holding corporations accountable.

[-] Ulrich@feddit.org 1 points 1 day ago

Society doesn't have to. Medical malpractice is a huge industry that individuals are often involved in. There's already case precedent for this sort of thing.

[-] Xanza@lemm.ee 6 points 2 days ago

That's the beauty of it! You can't! AI can't commit malpractice, because you have to prove professional negligence! /s

If this is true, Apple will have to tread very carefully here. 23&Me was forbidden by the FDA from telling you about health risks related to your actual DNA. Now Apple is going to make your health diagnosis based on a Magic 8 Ball?

[-] cupcakezealot 4 points 1 day ago

it's an fda run by robert f kennedy jr; he'd probably think a health diagnosis by magic 8 ball is the best thing ever.

Apple intelligence is right around the corner guys. Totally coming on time.

No thank you.

I've heard the song and dance from all the tech companies at this point. Google and Microsoft both offered a package that promised things like chart portability and whatnot. Each was shut down a couple years later, and charts and records remain as locked down as ever
