I use ionos.de for all my domain and server hosting needs.

Does it work well? I just bought a domain and am struggling to receive email. But maybe they are still moving settings around.

mhm but you already registered an account, so you would be able to look at the status of your domain?

[-] Pirata@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

Yeah. Basically all the email settings have been automatically set by my email provider. I think it might be a matter time before it fixes itself.. I hope ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Good / fair pricing, thanks for sharing. How much do they increase in price after the first year?

[-] DmMacniel@feddit.org 3 points 1 month ago

I don't remember an price increase as I would have just continue to pay 5 bucks for my VPS but I upgraded the storage as my foundry instances got a bit crowded.

Or do you mean the domain name? I had a non discounted address so nothing about a built in price increase you get when using ccTLDs.

okay thanks, just did more research on them and will probably go with them - merci :)

They do a pretty clear discount for the first domain and year you register, but they're also very honest about the ongoing charges.

They also give you one free mailbox per contract, which is a nice touch imho.

I settled on OpenProvider.com (Netherlands). If you have lots of domains you can get reseller access and buy domains at no markup, basically.

The only annoying thing is that you need to add money to the account instead of simply paying for the domains.
