Hell yeah, love a good appreciation post! Thunder has been treating me well!

[-] manucode@infosec.pub 18 points 2 days ago

I almost didn't see Thunder

[-] Blaze@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 2 days ago

Yeah, wasn't sure if it would be visible on the orange one, still seems to work somehow

[-] MentalEdge@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 days ago

I almost got the pitchforks out.

[-] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 days ago

That doesn’t scare him, putting away the chili dogs and churros stand does.

Did I just see this right... I'm the play store is listed as having ads?

[-] Madbrad200@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

block them or pay for the app, problem solved.

Time isn't free and development takes a lot of it.

Lemmy users are strange, they want a free and open internet, and they think it cost nothing to run. It's totally normal to expect the app dev to eat and afford shelter. I also use Boost and I can tell you with a single one time payment, ads are removed.

[-] Dogiedog64@lemmy.world 3 points 21 hours ago

It's not even an expensive payment either. 4$, and all the ads are gone forever. But I guess internet users are gonna internet...

Voyager is really nice. I poked around Jerboa and a few of the instance specific PWAs before landing here and haven't moved since

Summit is definitely my favorite Lemmy client, 10/10 would recommend

Sync all day baby. It's just so clean and compact. And the swipeability is great.

[-] Madbrad200@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

It doesn't hide read posts permanently anymore which effectively breaks the browsing experience imo. I switched to Boost and aside from a lack of gestures it's pretty on par.

[-] Noblesavage@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

I still love Sync and use it every day, but it hasn't been updated in a year. Everything seems to be working fine, but I do think about when something breaks if it'll get fixed...

[-] amorpheus@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

Dev really needs to be more active to catch up with changes in new lemmy versions.

[-] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 6 points 2 days ago

Eric and Sjmarf the Mlem developers are so cool man!

I use Interstellar, it's one of those on the pic suprisingly!

[-] jwr1@kbin.earth 2 points 1 day ago

Yeah, I feel honored! I was also surprised to see it there.

[-] Blaze@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 day ago

You are doing a great job!

[-] Blaze@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 2 days ago

I wanted to make sure to include Mbin as well!

[-] dawnslayer@kbin.earth 5 points 2 days ago

I was using Voyager / Lemmy but Mbin / Interstellar's been great so far! I don't think I'm going back!

[-] hmmm@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 days ago

Summit dev is god for me. I can't even imagine using Lemmy without Summit.

Raccoon was saved from the brink.

[-] Inkstainthebat@lemmy.world 2 points 23 hours ago

Do you know if the Raccoon devs read reviews on Google Play? I have a few suggestions and I've posted them in a review but if they only read issues from git or something similar I'll talk there too

[-] Wildfire0Straggler3@lemm.ee 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I second this, also Raccoon, Voyager, and Jerboa are on F-Droid with no trackers.

Hard agree, Summit rocks

[-] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Now if only we could snap our fingers and make certain people disappear.
