“communist” (and “woke” and other epithets) is a term of tribal identity. The Dems could lean fully into Handmaid’s Tale christofascism in the name of bipartisanship and they’d still be “communists”, for the same reason a rival sports team are still the enemy despite no ideological difference.
You could improve this a bit by having the Cheneys vertically aligned. I think that would get the point across better.
